Madeline will discuss liquidity theory of the equities markets as developed by
TrimTabs, Inc., an investment research firm located in Santa
Rosa. The TrimTabs analysis method is based on tracking the
balance between the demand for both "stock" and "cash” to predict the direction
of the market.
Madeline joined TrimTabs in 2002, She and her research
team tracks the "cash" side of the liquidity equation, including approximately
120 cash or cash-related indicators. She has Bachelor's Degree from
Stanford University, a Master's Degree in Engineering from the
University of California Berkeley and a Master's Degree in Geophysics and Engineering from the
University of Colorado. Prior to joining TrimTabs, Madeline
was the director of research at O'Reilly and Associates, a high tech information
company where she developed techniques to track emerging technology trends using
Amazon book ranks and mentions of emerging technologies in Usenet newsgroups.
