Yelena is a macro economist at the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. Her recent research includes evaluating the effects in movements in housing prices on household wealth and portfolio composition in developed countries. She has also conducted research on the Phillips Curve tradeoff between inflation and unemployment.
Yelena received her MA and Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Her areas of specialty include macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, international economics, and applied econometrics.
